The Shura Council held its regular weekly meeting today under the chairmanship of His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Bin Abdulla Bin Zaid Al-Mahmoud, the Speaker of the Council.
The Council at the outset of its meeting discussed the draft law amending some provisions of law No (21) for the year 2004 on Ministers and decided to transfer it to the Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee to study it and to submit a report thereon to the Council.
The Council also discussed the draft law regulating the ownership of animals and dangerous creatures.
Under this draft law it is prohibited the acquisition or importing or exporting or of animals and dangerous creatures or trading in them, only with the authorization of the competent Department. The Draft law also prohibits accompanying or wandering or walking along with animals and dangerous creatures in public places.
It as well establishes penalties for violations of its provisions.
Thereafter the Council discussed a draft law on reconciliation in crimes stipulated in some of the provisions of the laws relating to Municipal and Environment. The Council decided to transfer the two drafts to the Committee on Public Services and Utilities Committee for their study and to submit reports thereon to the Council.
